Concepts

Message

A banner, a popup, a full-screen message, an inbox card or a push. Each says who sees it, where, when, how often, and has one version per language, each with its own text direction. A message has a priority (0 to 1000; higher shows first) and a status: Draft, Live, Paused or Archived. Only a draft nobody was shown can be deleted; archive the rest.

Placement

A spot in your app that shows messages, by the key the app asks for (home_top). A placement can take one type of message, or any, and can order its messages by each person’s ranking instead of by priority.

Segment

A named audience: rules over a person’s profile, events, orders and what they didn’t do, combined with all of / any of, and not in front of any part. Segments are checked at every decide, never frozen at the start of a session.

Decide

How the app learns what to show. The SDK makes one decide per session for every placement it shows, and the widgets serve from its answer, so a banner on ten screens is still one call. A signed decision token lets the next decide reuse the choices without running the rules again.

Strict: a user who never granted in_app consent gets nothing from a decide, whatever the audience.

Frequency cap and popup gap

Set in In-app settings: how many impressions one person may see across every message in a period, and how long between popups. A message can set its own cap instead.

Inbox

What the decides handed a user over time: every inbox card, newest first, kept on the device for 30 days (at most 50). Read state is local to the device.

Test device

An install of your app, signed in as one of your team, that sees drafts marked for test devices before anyone else.

Keys

Publishable keys (ipk_…) are for your app’s SDK; secret keys (isk_…) are for your servers, for example to decide a push. Each is shown once, when issued.

Push

Your server asks Nida which push to send and copies the answer into the push’s data. When the user opens it, your app hands the data to the SDK, which reports the click.

Campaigns

Your ad accounts’ campaigns and how they performed, read from each ad platform. Each account syncs itself every day.
